The Arts is not just an extra. Creativity is essential to the survival and transformation of cultures, communities and civilizations.  The Healing Eye aims to advance  the role of the Humanities in nurturing creative and independent thinking in the pursuit of new meanings and alternative visions. It blogs to advance ‘creative engagement’ as a medium to harness unity and consensus in the community and the workplace. Inspired by the philosophy that the artist is endowed with a healing eye, this blog  aims to transcend the ethics of the ‘arts for arts sake’ to a new healing ethic that is ‘arts for service and humanity’s sake.

I must tell you that I certainly appreciate this blog. I work in a private college and we focus mainly on I.T. programmes. As much as I love my job, sometimes I get home at the end of the day, just longing to be creative. I write music and do so for my own sake…it spurs my creativity so that I can then go to work the next day feeling even more inspired.

Thank you for seeing the importance in the Humanities and saying that creativity is as vital as it is.

Hi Mary! It was full of fun but of course the learning was the best part of it! If you happen to go to Manila or any place in the world visit the art galleries! Listen to their music! Know the culture and the people.
